Kantabanji, Oct 16: At least two persons were killed and two others sustained grievous injuries after a truck and a Bolero collided head-on in Bangomunda block of Odisha’s Bolangir district this morning.
The deceased have been identified as Lingaraj Saraf and Kishore Das, residents of Panharenmunda village.
As per reports, the mishap took place on NH-59 near Bangomunda when the Bolero with four passengers on-board collided head-on with the truck. Two of the car occupants died on the spot while two others sustained severe injuries.
On getting the information, police along with fire service personnel arrived at the spot and launched a rescue operation. The two injured persons were rushed to the Kantabanji Hospital for treatment.
The police have seized the bodies for post-mortem.
Both the vehicles have been seized and further investigation into the matter is underway, said the police.
