Bhubaneswar: Ahead of the first India Vs South Africa T20 match, the first batch of South Africa players arrived here on Friday. The T20 international match schedule to be held at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack on 9th December 2025.

The players are batting all-rounder Donavan Ferreira, right-handed opening batsman R Hendricks, left-handed middle order batsman and an occasional wicket-keeper David A Miller, left-arm spinner George Frederik Linde and Kwenam Tshegofatso.

In September 2025, Donavan was named in the Proteas T20I and ODI squad to tour Pakistan. Following the withdrawal from the squad due to injury,

Left-arm fast bowler 19-year-old Kwenam played for the South African team in the Under-19 World Cup, where in the semi-final he took 3 wickets for 32 runs in 10 overs against India.

“Few South Africa cricketers arrived today, tomorrow some of the team India players are expected to arrive, The rest of the India and South Africa players will arrive on 7th December with a special flight” said an OCA official.   

The tickets for the India Vs South Africa T20 match were already sold out both online and offline. The Odisha Cricket Association placed 2000 tickets online which were sold in an hour on 1st December, while the 10000 numbers of tickets were sold offline on Friday.

Huge crowds were seen outside the stadium from Thursday night, with fans from Odisha and neighbouring states gathering to secure their seats for the December 9 match.
