Keonjhar, Sept. 19: In a tragic incident, a truck driver and helper died in Keonjhar on Tuesday after their truck upturned after striking the road divider.
The incident took place at the Kaipur Bridge on the NH 16 in the afternoon.
Sources said that, a three-axle truck was passing the Kaipur Bridge at about 3 pm. Meanwhile, the driver lost control over the wheels after the speeding truck tossed the road divider violently. The vehicle overturned on the bridge as the driver applied break all of a sudden. As a result, the driver and the helper were thrown off the truck who died on the spot.
On being informed, Telkoi Police visited the spot, seized the bodies and sent them for post-mortem.
