At least 18 persons were injured after a truck hit the private bus they were traveling from Rayagada to Puri in Khordha district in the wee hour today.

Khordha, Feb 2: At least 18 persons were injured after a truck hit the private bus they were traveling from Rayagada to Puri in Khordha district in the wee hour today.

Sources said, the bus carrying 42 passengers was en route to Puri from Rayagada to see the Parikrama project. While the bus stopped for a while on the way, a speeding truck allegedly hit it from the rear injuring some passengers.

On being informed, local police reached the spot and rescued the injured. The injured have been admitted to the Khordha District Headquarters Hospital (DHH). Further investigation is underway.
