Athagarh, Sept. 18: In a tragic road mishap in Odisha’s Cuttack district on Monday, as many as four persons were killed after a truck hit a car.
The incident took place at near the Nuasadak square under the Tigiria Police limits in the afternoon.
Sources said, a car was passing the Nuasadak square with five passengers onboard. Meanwhile, a speeding truck, coming from the opposite direction made a head-on collision with the car. Following this, all the five passengers were pressed inside the car. Being informed, locals rushed the five to the hospital where the doctors declared four of them dead. The victim with critical injuries is reportedly struggling with his life and undergoing intensive care.
Police have seized the bodies and sent them for post-mortems. A case has been registered in this connection and an investigation is underway.
