Keonjhar, Mar 5: A truck was completely gutted after a sudden fire broke out while it was moving at Kanjipani Ghat in Keonjhar district of Odisha on Thursday.

According to reports, the truck had earlier unloaded iron ore at the Jindal plant in Angul and was on its way back when the fire suddenly erupted in the vehicle. The flames spread rapidly and engulfed the truck within a short time.

Sensing the danger, the driver quickly jumped out of the vehicle and narrowly escaped the incident. Fortunately, no casualties were reported.

Locals who noticed the blaze immediately alerted the fire services. After receiving the information, fire service personnel rushed to the spot and managed to bring the fire under control after efforts.

Initial suspicion suggests that the fire may have been caused by a short circuit in the vehicle. Police also reached the spot and began an investigation, while the exact cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
