Bhubaneswar, Nov 1: A girl from Odisha’s Ganjam district is among the 10 deceased persons who were killed in the Sri Venkateswar Swamy Temple Complex in Srikakulam on Saturday.

Fortunately, a kin of the Odia girl was narrowly saved from the mishap who survived though sustained critical injuries.

The deceased has been identified as R Rupa, from Gudiapadar village under the Patrapur Panchayat Samiti in Ganjam.

According to reports, R Rupa was crushed to death amid the stampede whereas her kin could survive, and was rushed to hospital for treatment.

The girl’s body is being brought to Ganjam where her cremation will be performed, said local sources.
