Bhubaneswar, October 13: Train services in the Rayagada Division of East Coast Railway have been disrupted following a landslide between Maligura and Chhatariput railway stations. Several trains have been cancelled, while some others will be short-terminated or short-originated on specified dates.
According to the railway authorities, the following changes have been made to train operations in view of the disruption.
Trains Cancelled
The following trains will remain cancelled on the specified dates:
- Train No. 18516 Kirandul–Visakhapatnam Express: Cancelled up to October 20, 2026.
- Train No. 18515 Visakhapatnam–Kirandul Express: Cancelled up to October 20, 2026.
- Train No. 18107 Rourkela–Jagdalpur Express: Cancelled up to October 20, 2026.
- Train No. 18108 Jagdalpur–Rourkela Express: Cancelled from October 14 to 21, 2026.
Trains Short-Terminated and Short-Originated
The following trains will operate on truncated routes during the affected period:
- Train No. 18005 Howrah–Jagdalpur Express: Will be short-terminated at Koraput up to October 20, 2026.
- Train No. 18006 Jagdalpur–Howrah Express: Will originate from Koraput instead of Jagdalpur from October 15 to 22, 2026.
- Train No. 18447 Bhubaneswar–Jagdalpur Hirakhand Express: Will be short-terminated at Koraput up to October 20, 2026.
- Train No. 18448 Jagdalpur–Bhubaneswar Hirakhand Express:Will originate from Koraput instead of Jagdalpur from October 14 to 21, 2026.
- Train No. 58501 Visakhapatnam–Kirandul Passenger:Will be short-terminated at Koraput up to October 20, 2026.
- Train No. 58502 Kirandul–Visakhapatnam Passenger:Will originate from Koraput instead of Kirandul up to October 20, 2026.
Railway authorities have advised passengers to check the latest status of their respective trains before starting their journeys and make alternative travel arrangements, if necessary, to avoid inconvenience.
