Berhampur, Jul 11: A tragic road accident in Ganjam district resulted in the death of three individuals, including a father-son duo. The collision occurred near Damdorpalli village, within the Jarada police jurisdiction, when two Royal Enfield Bullet motorcycles collided head-on.
The victims have been identified as Dau Goud, his son Sunil Kumar Goud, and Rajesh Panigrahi. In addition to the fatalities, another person was critically injured and is currently receiving treatment at a hospital in Patrapur.
Chikiti MLA Manoranjan Dyan Samantaray expressed his sorrow over the heartbreaking incident. He urged hospital authorities to ensure proper medical care for the injured individual and conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the grieving families.
Meanwhile, Odisha's Chief Minister Mohan Majhi also expressed his deep sadness over the tragic accident. As a gesture of support, Majhi announced an ex-gratia of Rs. 4 lakh each from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) to the families of the deceased.
The tragic incident has left the local community in shock, as authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the accident.
