New Kia Seltos 2026 Hits Indian Market: Bigger, Safer, and Tech-Loaded

The wait is over for SUV enthusiasts in Odisha and across India. Kia India has officially launched the second-generation Kia Seltos 2026, with prices starting at an aggressive Rs 10.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The top-spec variant is priced at Rs 19.99 lakh, positioning the new model as a formidable contender in the country’s hottest vehicle segment.

Taking on the Titans

This launch sets the stage for a fierce battle in the mid-size SUV category. The Kia Seltos 2026 is not just competing against its traditional rival, the Hyundai Creta, but is also locking horns with the resurrected Tata Sierra, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, and the Honda Elevate. With its updated pricing and feature list, Kia aims to reclaim the top spot in sales charts.

Bigger and Bolder on the K3 Platform

Making its debut in India is Kia’s global K3 platform, which serves as the backbone of the new Seltos. This upgrade brings significant improvements in structural rigidity and ride quality. In terms of size, the SUV has grown larger, now measuring 4,460mm in length with a wheelbase of 2,690mm. These expanded dimensions translate to better cabin space and a more commanding road presence compared to the outgoing model.

Tech-Savvy Interiors

Step inside, and the changes are immediately apparent. The cabin now features a massive panoramic display that seamlessly integrates the digital instrument cluster and the infotainment system. Comfort has been prioritized with ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, and a premium Bose audio system.

Safety has received a massive boost as well. The standard safety package includes six airbags and hill-start assist. Higher variants come equipped with Level-2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), offering 21 autonomous features like lane-keeping assist and adaptive cruise control—essential features for highway driving in Odisha.

Powertrain Options

Under the hood, buyers are spoiled for choice. The Kia Seltos 2026 retains its versatile engine lineup:

  • 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol
  • 1.5-litre turbo-petrol
  • 1.5-litre diesel

These engines are paired with multiple transmission options, including Manual, iMT, IVT, and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic, ensuring there is a configuration for every type of driver.

Availability

The new Seltos is available in four core trims—HTE, HTK, HTX, and GTX/X Line. Dealerships across Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, and other major cities in Odisha are expected to commence test drives and deliveries shortly.
