Mumbai, Jan 5: The song "Ghar Kab Aaoge" from the upcoming war drama Border 2 has been receiving immense love from music fans, with its powerful and emotional lyrics resonating deeply. Now, it seems that the track has also struck a chord with Indian soldiers, who are showing their admiration for the patriotic anthem.

Recently, the film's lead actors-Varun Dhawan and Ahan Shetty-along with singer Sonu Nigam, who lent his voice to the song, were seen sharing a special moment with Indian soldiers. In a heartwarming video shared on social media, the soldiers joined in by playing musical instruments-one on the harmonium and another on the dholak—while the stars jammed to the song. The clip was shared with the caption “ghar,” a reference to the song’s title.

Sonu Nigam had previously expressed his deep emotional connection to the track, describing his involvement in it as a "homecoming." On Instagram, the singer shared his thoughts, writing, “Some songs aren’t just melodies; they are emotions that belong to the soul of our nation. 🇮🇳 Being a part of this song for Border 2 felt like a beautiful homecoming. It is rare for an artist to relive such magic, and I feel truly blessed that this journey continues. This one is for our brave soldiers and the families waiting for them.”

The original song “Sandese Aate Hai” from the 1999 film Border, which featured Sonu Nigam and Roopkumar Rathod as vocalists, is still cherished by many. The song was picturized on iconic actors Sunny Deol, Suniel Shetty, Akshaye Khanna, and Jackie Shroff, with lyrics written by Javed Akhtar. The new rendition of the song for Border 2 has been reimagined by composer Mithoon, with fresh lyrics penned by Manoj Muntashir Shukla.

Directed by Anurag Singh, Border 2 is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, J.P. Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta. The film is set to release in cinemas on January 23.
