Bhubaneswar, Dec 20: The first day of the All India Dog Show Championship, organized by the Odisha Kennel Club, saw a spectacular display of skills by German Shepherds. Held on Friday at the OET Veterinary Grounds, the event featured a special exhibition by the “German Shepherd Dog Confederation (Kalinga Chapter),” showcasing eight elite German Shepherds.

The exhibition was inaugurated by OET Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. Prabhat Kumar Raul, while Josenn Pral from Germany served as the judge. German Shepherds from eight states, including Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Punjab, and West Bengal, participated, with some dogs valued between ₹30 lakh and ₹35 lakh.

In the ‘Male German Shepherd’ category, the top three positions were secured by Janako Kenz Hof (owned by Malik Tax), Yogo Bhum Est (owned by Arab Dev), and Regna (owned by Dallas Bhom). In the ‘Female German Shepherd’ category, standout participants included Easy of Gangs (Vaibhav Royal), Danivom Senato (Dheeraj Dev), and Kings Way Pixie (Harris Kapil).

“These dogs have demonstrated exceptional skill and discipline, delighting audiences with their performances,” said Subrat Prusti, President of the Odisha Kennel Club. The championship is set to continue until the 21st of this month.
