Mumbai, Sept 12: A curious incident reportedly took place during the shooting of ‘Hanuman Ansh’, a film based on the life of Neem Karoli Baba. The incident involved a monkey that suddenly appeared at the shooting location and later climbed onto a Hanuman idol.
Directed by Vishal Chaturvedi, the film has been drawing audiences to theatres. Alongside its box-office performance, some interesting behind-the-scenes moments from the shoot have also attracted attention.

According to local villagers, the incident happened in a village where the film was being shot. They claimed that monkeys had not been seen in the area for a long time. However, after shooting for the film began, a monkey suddenly appeared in the village.
The incident was also featured in behind-the-scenes footage shared by the makers after the completion of the ‘Hanuman’ segment of the film.
What Happened to the Monkey?
According to the villagers featured in the behind-the-scenes video, the monkey arrived at the village while the shooting was underway. They said it was carrying what appeared to be a puri in its hand.
The monkey then climbed onto a Hanuman idol and eventually sat on the idol’s head. The unusual sight reportedly surprised both the villagers and members of the shooting team.
The Scene That Made the Incident More Interesting
The incident reportedly occurred around a sequence involving Lakshman Das, the central character portrayed in the film.
In the scene, Lakshman Das arrives at Neem Karoli village and creates a Hanuman idol by carving a stone for devotees to worship. He then installs the idol beneath a tree in front of his cave.
While Lakshman Das is shown painting the idol, a monkey suddenly appears on the tree.

The coincidence between the film sequence and the monkey’s unexpected appearance became one of the interesting moments associated with the shoot. The makers later shared behind-the-scenes photographs and footage showing aspects of the incident.
