Bhubaneswar, December 13:India is guaranteed a gold medal in the Women’s Singles at the Odisha Masters 2025 after top seed Unnati Hooda and Isharani Baruah secured their places in the final with impressive semifinal victories today.

In a thrilling match, the 18-year-old Unnati Hooda overcame former junior world No. 1 Tasnim Mir with a hard-fought three-game victory, winning 18-21, 21-16, 21-16. Meanwhile, Isharani Baruah staged a remarkable comeback to defeat her compatriot Tanvi Hemanth 18-21, 21-7, 21-7, setting up an all-Indian final for the title.

In the Men’s Singles, Kiran George also advanced to the final after defeating fellow Indian Rounak Chuhan in a tough three-game match, 21-19, 8-21, 21-18. George will face Indonesia’s 19-year-old Muhamd Yuseuf in tomorrow’s final. Yuseuf made his way to the final with a straight-game victory over compatriot Bismo Oktora.
