Bhubaneswar, Dec 19: The Odisha Naval Tata Hockey High Performance Centre (ONTHHPC) U-19 Boys delivered a determined performance to secure the Bronze Medal at the Balwant Singh Kapur Memorial Hockey Tournament 2025 in Jalandhar of Punjab, defeating Naval Tata Hockey Academy, Jamshedpur 4–2 in a tense penalty shootout.
In the Bronze Medal match, goalkeeper Rayavarapu Ganesh was named Player of the Match for his outstanding show under pressure, while Bilkan Oram finished as the tournament’s Top Scorer with 8 goals.
The contest was a tightly fought battle, with both teams displaying high intensity and discipline throughout regulation time. With the scores still level at full time, the match headed into a penalty shootout—where ONTHHPC maintained composure, executed clinically, and closed the match 4–2 to seal a podium finish.
The achievement highlights ONTHHPC’s strong development pathway and growing competitive edge at the junior level, reflected in the team’s structured play, resolute defending, and calm decision-making in decisive moments.
