​​​​​​​Bhubaneswar, Dec 24: Secretary, Ministry of Mines, Piyush Goyal on Wednesday visited the headquarters of Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprises National Aluminium Company Limited (Nalco) at Bhubaneswar and reviewed its growth & development.

During his maiden visit to Nalco Headquarters Goyal discussed with Brijendra Pratap Singh, Chairman-cum-Managing Director, NALCO regarding the expansion project of the Navaratna CPSe. Apart from it, he reviewed the Company’s operational performances as one of the world’s aluminium producers.

The meeting was attended by members of the Nalco Board, Pankaj Kumar Sharma, Director (Production), Jagdish Arora, Director (Projects & Technical), Tapas Kumar Pattanayak, Director (HR), Abhay Kumar Behuria, Director (Finance), along with other senior officials.

During the meeting, Goyal emphasized timely completion of expansion projects, meeting of production targets, and systematic enhancement of operational efficiency.

Earlier in the day, the secretary had a meeting with Odisha Chief Secretary Ahuja and other senior state government officials wherein he discussed matters related to Mines & Refinery Complex in Damanjodi and Smelter & Power Complex at Angul.
