​​​​​​​Bhubaneswar, Jan 18: Rail services on the Khordha Road–Bolangir route will be almost operational by the end of 2026, said East Coast Railway (ECoR).

During an inspection on Saturday, ECoR GM Parameshwar Funkwal reviewed safety arrangements, status of railway tracks and station infrastructures along the project corridor. Meanwhile, he assessed the progress of construction works and the preparedness that’s going on in an accelerated pace.

Following the field visit, the GM asserted that efforts are being made to complete the remaining work at the earliest so that rail services on the entire Khordha Road–Bolangir stretch can be made fully operational as soon as possible.

Underlining the time frame for completion of the Khordha Road-Balangir Railway routes, the GM said that “Our prime objective is to complete the Khurda Road–Bolangir line operational by the end of 2026, that will add better railway connectivity between Odisha’s East & West.
