Jagatsinghpur, April 29: At least 10 persons were injured after the bus they were traveling in skidded off the road and overturned in Balikuda locality of Odisha’s Jagatsinghpur district this morning.
As per reports, the mishap took place near Sobha village under Balikuda police limits when a private bus named ‘Babamani’ was on its way to Dhanuhar Belari village in the district and the driver lost control over the wheels. Thereafter, the ill-fated vehicle skidded off the road and overturned.
After learning about the mishap, local people rescued the victims and rushed them to a nearby hospital for medical aid. Later, some of them were shifted to SCB Hospital in Cuttack as their health conditions deteriorated.
On getting the information, police arrived at the spot and took stock of the situation.
Further investigation into the matter was underway.
