Bhubaneswar, February 1: President Droupadi Murmu will embark on a six-day tour of Odisha and Chhattisgarh from February 2 to 7, 2026, with a key focus on enhancing education, supporting tribal welfare, and promoting the rich cultural heritage of tribal regions.

Her visit to Odisha will commence on February 2 in Bhubaneswar. On February 3, she will attend the convocation ceremony of Fakir Mohan University in Balasore and inaugurate the university's newly constructed auditorium. The following day, on February 4, the President will visit Rairangpur, where she will unveil a statue of the prominent tribal leader Bhanjbir Sunaram Soren and engage with students at local schools.

In addition to these cultural engagements, President Murmu will inaugurate several important development projects, including an Ayurveda Medical College, infrastructure upgrades, and initiatives aimed at improving education and sports facilities.

On February 6, President Murmu will interact with tribal women and youth at Simlipal, highlighting her commitment to uplifting tribal communities. She will also participate in the ‘Black Swan Summit, India’ in Bhubaneswar, focusing on risk management and technological advancements.

The President will conclude her visit with a trip to Chhattisgarh on February 7, where she will inaugurate the ‘Bastar Pandum 2026’ festival in Jagdalpur, celebrating the vibrant tribal culture and traditions of the Bastar region.
