New Delhi, July 16: Union Telecom Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia on Tuesday met telecom service providers to seek their views on further growth of the telecom sector and resolving key issues.
This is the first meeting since the private telecom operators increased mobile tariffs on July 3.
“Had a very productive meeting with the Advisory Committee of Telecommunication Service Providers. Discussed upon different aspects concerning the sector including futuristic and innovative areas of growth,” the Minister posted on social networking site ‘X’.
“We are committed to work together to build an ‘inclusive and connected Bharat,” Scindia said.
Bharti Airtel founder and Chairman Sunil Mittal, Reliance Jio Infocomm Chairman Akash Ambani and Vodafone Idea CEO Akshaya Moondra among others were present in the meeting.
Several issues including arrears relating to AGR payments and allocation of spectrum for satellite services were discussed.
