Bhubaneswar, March 14: In a significant operation targeting criminal activities in the city, Bhubaneswar Badagada Police arrested four members of the notorious 'Pushpa Gang' on Saturday. The gang, led by Ram Lu alias Pushpa, had been wreaking havoc in several areas of Bhubaneswar in recent days.

The gang is believed to have committed multiple crimes within the jurisdictions of the Badagada and Laxmisagar police stations. Reports indicate that members of the gang had instilled fear in the Gautam Nagar locality by brandishing sharp weapons and threatening residents. They are also accused of attacking a local lawyer, which raised alarms among both the general public and the legal community.

In response to the escalating threats, police initiated an investigation and reviewed CCTV footage from nearby areas. The suspects were identified through the visual evidence, leading to a swift manhunt. Four individuals, including one woman, were arrested by the Badagada Police, who subsequently presented them before the court.

However, the gang’s leader, Ram Lu alias Pushpa, remains on the run. Police are continuing their efforts to locate and apprehend him.
