India’s largest technology services firm split its primary revenue division and established fresh strategic groups. Chief Executive Officer K Krithivasan initiated these sweeping changes to adapt to rapidly shifting market expectations. This corporate shuffle represents one of their most significant internal shifts in recent years. Historically, TCS pioneered the offshore IT delivery model decades ago, and this modern restructuring ensures they remain globally competitive during the current technology transition. Businesses worldwide are currently demanding smarter integrations, and these internal adjustments reflect a direct response to that global demand.

Restructuring Key Financial Operations

North American banking and financial services generate nearly half of all company revenue. Executives decided to divide this crucial American market into two separate operating groups. This structural split aims to improve customer relations and streamline project execution. Susheel Vasudevan previously managed the entire Americas financial sector. He will now transition into a highly specialized strategic role reporting directly to the CEO. Rakesh Kumar steps up to direct the US West financial division. Simultaneously, Mohan Veeturi takes charge of the corresponding East Coast banking operations. These promotions reward veterans who possess extensive experience managing complex technology projects. Both leaders will focus on bringing intelligent automation directly into traditional banking frameworks.

Launching Specialized Industry Divisions

Leadership also identified emerging opportunities across specific commercial sectors. Management established an entirely separate business group focused exclusively on the United States West Coast. Akhilesh Tripathi steps in to guide this dedicated coastal division. His team will target high-growth clients within semiconductors, software, and advanced technology hubs. Additionally, the corporation formed distinct units for travel and energy sectors. Arun Pradeep assumes command of the travel, transport, and hospitality division. Sabyasachi Chandra takes control over the energy, resources, and utilities segment. These targeted groups will allow the firm to deliver highly customized solutions. Each specialized unit is expected to pursue independent growth strategies while sharing core engineering resources.

Expanding Strategic Software Partnerships

Focusing on platform integrations prompted the creation of a specialized ServiceNow business unit. Rajnish Palande takes the helm of this global software alignment initiative. Corporate leaders also merged multiple communication and media segments under the guidance of V. Rajanna. Furthermore, Akhilesh Tiwari will manage global sales for the newly formed Autonomous Business Operations branch. Chief Operating Officer Aarthi Subramanian noted that these integrated propositions will help clients scale digital models faster.
