Bhubaneswar, November 27: Sudhanshu Mohan Dwibedy has been honored with the prestigious Odisha Sangeet Natak Academy Award for the year 2025 for his excellence as a theatre director.

The award was presented by Surjyabanshi Suraj, Minister of Culture, during a celebration held at Lok Seva Bhawan in Bhubaneswar.

Dwibedy, who began his theatrical journey in 1969, has dedicated over 50 years to advancing stage theatre, earning a reputation as a successful theatre director throughout the state. His efforts to enhance the quality of drama and theatre have made him a well-respected figure in Odisha’s theatre circle.

In October of the previous year,  He was also elected as the General Secretary of the Odisha Natya Sangh. As a prominent figure in the field of drama, he has received well-wishes and congratulations from across the state for this prestigious recognition.

Reflecting on his journey, Dwibedy expressed that success can only be truly savored after enduring the struggles of life. This sentiment was shared during his acceptance of the Academy Award

Sudhanshu Mohan is the elder brother of Sitansu Mohan Dwibedy, Chairman, Odisha State Bar Council, Cuttack.
