She will be joined in leadership by continental silver medallist Shaina Manimuthu and India Junior International Grand Prix victor Dev Ruparelia. Officials from the Badminton Association of India finalized the current roster following rigorous trials at the National Centre of Excellence in Guwahati between September 18 and 21. Selected players will return to the Guwahati facility from September 25 to October 2 for a highly focused training camp. They plan to fine-tune their strategies and build endurance before departing for Egypt. Historically, Odia athletes like Patri have brought deep regional pride to national badminton, continuing a robust sporting legacy for the state of Odisha.
Regulators have introduced updated match formats for this 2026 edition. Teams contesting the Suhandinata Cup will need to quickly adapt to a 3x55 relay scoring structure. Meanwhile, individual competitors vying for Eye Level Cups from October 11 to 17 will play their matches under a faster 3x15 scoring framework.
Singles and Doubles lineup
Patri and Manimuthu will anchor the girls' singles division, strongly backed by Parul Choudhary and Tanvi Reddy Andluri. Ruparelia commands the boys' singles charge alongside Nishchal Chand, Jagsher Singh Khangurra, and Akhil Reddy Bobba.

Defending medalists Aanya Bisht and Angel Punera return for girls' doubles, teaming up with Diya Bheemaiah B. and Baruni Parshwal.
