Bhubaneswar, Nov 10: The double-line work between Tangiriapal-Tomka railway stations (10.506 km) of the ongoing critical Jakhapura-Jaroli double line project has been commissioned.
The Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS), South Eastern Circle, Kolkata, yesterday inspected the railway section. During the inspection, all safety aspects were thoroughly examined, and a speed trial was also conducted to measure the feasibility of train traffic.
The construction work for the Jakhapura-Jaroli double line project under Khurda Road Division of East Coast Railway (ECoR), is proceeding at full swing. More than 99% of the construction works for this project have been completed.
Jakhapura-Jaroli double line work will boost the region's economy and provide hassle-free train operations with easy connectivity between Howrah-Chennai and Howrah-Mumbai main line through iron ore belt of Odisha.
General Manager of ECoR Manoj Sharma advised officials to focus on the speedy completion of various projects going on in the jurisdiction of ECoR. Sharma also advised officials to coordinate with stakeholders, including State Government officials, for the early completion of the projects.
