Bhubaneswar, March 3: Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has written a letter to Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi regarding the regularization of special trains to enhance public convenience in the state. The letter discusses the approval of three special Vande Mataram trains, which are set to improve connectivity across various regions of Odisha.

The three special trains are:

  1. Shalimar - Bhanjpur Special Train. This train will operate between Shalimar and Bhanjpur, passing through key stations including Jaleswar, Basta, Rupsa, Jugpura, Betnoti, Krishnachandrapur, Jamsole, and Baripada.
  2. Charlapalli - Shalimar Special. The Charlapalli - Shalimar Amrit Bharat Express will connect Charlapalli to Shalimar, passing through major locations such as Brahmapur, Khurda Road, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Jajpur Keonjhar Road, Bhadrak, and Balasore.
  3. Bhanjpur - Puri Special (Train No. 18017/18018)This train will run between Bhanjpur and Puri as the Bhanjpur - Puri Express, connecting passengers to one of the most popular tourist destinations in Odisha.

These initiatives aim to provide enhanced travel options for the people of Odisha and improve regional connectivity.
