Bhubaneswar, November 13: A stampede-like situation occurred during Bollywood playback singer Shreya Ghoshal's performance at Baliyatra ground in Cuttack on Thursday evening, causing two persons to faint. The incident occurred near the stage barricade, as a massive crowd had gathered to catch a glimpse of the renowned singer.

Eyewitnesses said that as the concert was about to begin, the crowd grew restless, resulting in a surge of people pushing towards the front. In the ensuing chaos, two individuals, including a woman, lost consciousness. They were promptly provided with first aid at the on-site medical station before being transferred to a nearby hospital for further care.

Responding swiftly, the police and event organizers intensified security measures and controlled the crowd.

Despite the disruption, the concert proceeded as planned, with Shreya Ghoshal captivating the audience with her performance.

The Baliyatra festival, one of Odisha’s most significant cultural and commercial events, will conclude today with Shreya Ghoshal's melody-filled program.
