Udupi (Karnataka), July 9: Indian cricketer Suryakumar Yadav, who held a stunning catch in the boundary to dismiss South Africa's middle order batter David Miller in the ICC T20 World Cup Final 2024, has a nice sense of humour.
Recently, he crackled up fans by saying that the most important catch he held in his life, was not the one he caught at boundary on June 29, 2024 to get rid of Miller in the T20 World Cup Final, but it was instead him marrying his wife Devisha Shetty. Suryakumar shared pictures of him with wife Devisha celebrating India's World Cup victory.
On Tuesday, Surya and his wife visited famous Sri Hosa Marigudi temple in Udupi after Team India's triumphant stint at the T20 World Cup. Devisha hails from Mangaluru city of Karnataka. They celebrated their eighth marriage anniversary on Monday.
The couple offered prayers to Goddess Mariyamma Devi. The temple management greeted the couple by presenting them with a garland.
It is learnt that Surya had earlier taken a vow that he would offer special prayers at the temple after Team India's success at the T20 World Cup 2024.
