Bhubaneswar, Nov 14: As the process of Nuapada byelection in Odisha is about to wrap up, BJP nominee Jay Dholakia has secured the Nuapada bastion with a thumping victory.
Jay Dholakia has garnered massive public opinions, adding to his account in the Nuapada Byelection, conducted on November 11, 2025.
The counting of votes polled in as many as 358 polling centres, conducted today revealed Jay’s stupendous win from prime oppositions, BJD & Congress.
As of the final bulletin, Dholkia succeeded to get 1,23, 869 votes leaving BJD & Congress off the screen with a sizeable margin of 83,748 votes.
Chhuria on the other hand, registered 38,408 votes and Congress remains as the forerunner,next to the ruling BJP with 40,121 votes in its ballot box.
With the BJP registered an unprecedented & historic win in the Nuapada battle, the dream of BJD absolutely shattered with a poor-play. BJD, the regional party of Odisha that had once upon a time locked the poll-bolt in the state for decades, remained in the second position.
The Congress performed comparatively well remaining in the second position in garnering people’s mandate.The BJD lost it stronghold, standing third on the electoral race, so the 11 independent candidates who had dreamt for political debut.
Worth mentioning, 2,02398 votes were polled in the Nuapada bypoll out of the 2,53,624 voters in toto, that ultimately paved a way out for the ruling BJP to celebrate.
