Balangir, Nov 18: With a tearful adieu to the great Odia voice Humane Sagar, his mortal remains were laid to rest at his native place Titlagarh in the Balangir district on Tuesday.

In a sombre, his high-pitched voice and symphony of romantic melodies silenced for good, as he himself became an avid listener for all time to come, to the dirge & requiem organized at his ultimate see off.

Thousands of fans, admirers and music lovers gathered at Sagar’s cradle land at Titlagarh to bid him tearful adieus, who left for his heavenly abode, leaving some lyrics yet unsung at tragic 35.

Sagar breathed his last on Monday during treatment at AIIMS Bhubaneswar due to comorbidities including bilateral pneumonia, acute chronic liver failure (ACLF), multi-organ dysfunction syndrome and other complications.

Later, his body was escorted to his residence at Cuttack where he was offered heartfelt tribute by singers and music directors.

Following this, Humane’s body was left for Titlagarh where the ace background singer & all-format lyricist was laid to rest with performing traditional rituals.
