Bhadrak, Oct 30: Police raided a warehouse near Ranital Bazaar under Bhadrak Rural Police Station limits following information about the suspected manufacture of counterfeit Surf Excel detergent.

The warehouse, located near National Highway 16, was searched after police received information about the alleged illegal manufacturing of fake Surf Excel products.

During the raid, police recovered Surf Excel packaging materials and detergent powder from the premises, raising suspicions of a counterfeit manufacturing operation.

However, a complete investigation could not be carried out as the mobile phone of the person reportedly associated with the warehouse was switched off. Police have locked and sealed the warehouses as part of the investigation.

Police have also contacted the company concerned to verify the products. The authenticity of the recovered detergent will be established after further investigation.
