Support program for mentally ill destitute women held at ‘Mission Ashra’

Bhubaneswar, Oct 21: A support program for mentally ill destitute women was held at Mission Ashra, People's Forum in Khordha district on Saturday.

The program was organized by Utkal Yoga Family, Unit-VIII, Bhubaneswar.

In this program, the members of the Utkal Yoga Family held discussions on several topics with the inmates. They also donated a smart television set, clothes, food and medicines to the inmates.

President, Editor and state-in-charge of Utkal Yoga Family Sudshanshu Adhikari along with other staff of the organization were present at the function.

‘People's Forum’ is a more than three-decade old developmental organisation engaged in various development activities in the state of Odisha since 1989.

‘Mission ASHRA’ is a shelter home for mentally ill destitute women. It currently houses 227 women from various parts of the Country. 

The centre provides integrated support to the inmates, from rescue, treatment, counseling to final rehabilitation in the family and larger community. It is located in Janla Industrial Area, Khorda.
