Angul 18: Odisha Vigilance has initiated simultaneous house searches on the allegation of acquiring disproportionate assets (DA) beyond his known sources of income by Surendra Behera, Superintending Engineer (SE) of the Irrigation Division, Angul.
The raids are being led by three DSPs, ten Inspectors, four ASIs, and other supporting staff, based on search warrants issued by the Hon’ble Special Judge, Vigilance, Sundargarh.
The ongoing searches are being conducted at eight locations across various districts, including Bhubaneswar, Rourkela, Sundargarh, Angul, and Ganjam.
The locations include:
A triple-storeyed building located in Sundargarh Town, Dist- Sundargarh.
A double-storeyed building at Chhend, M/20, Gopabandhu Nagar, Rourkela.
Flat No. 403, Aurovila-1, Phase-3, Ghatikia, Bhubaneswar.
Flat No. 402, Aurovila-1, Phase-3, Ghatikia, Bhubaneswar
Behera’s paternal house at Ranjhali, PS Purusottampur, Dist- Ganjam.
The house of his in-laws at Aladigaon, Purusottampur, Beherasahi, Dist- Ganjam.
His residential government quarter at 3RA/1 Irrigation Colony, Angul.
His office room at the Irrigation Division, Angul.
The searches are currently underway.
