Bhubaneswar, Nov 15: The State-Level Children’s Festival, ‘Suravi 2025’, wrapped up on a high note with a call for students to embrace curiosity and global knowledge. Minister Nityananda Gond, who was present at the event, urged students to explore the world of new technologies and integrate them into their learning.

Held over three days at Capital High School, Unit-3, the festival saw active participation from students across Odisha. Gond emphasised the significance of cooperation and healthy competition among children, particularly through activities like sports, painting, music, and dance, all of which play a key role in a child’s overall development.

Mayor Sulochana Das extended her praise to the School and Mass Education Department for organising the festival, while Commissioner-cum-Secretary Dr. N. Thirumala Naik encouraged students to fine-tune their talents.

Awards were given to 170 students who excelled in various competitions, recognising their achievements. Additionally, the Odisha State Open School unveiled simplified textbooks for Class X, while 25 exhibition stalls showcased initiatives like NIPUN Odisha and PM-POSHAN.

The festival also featured engaging activities such as the mock United Nations, Meet the Personality sessions, and Suravi Sambad, aimed at promoting media literacy among students. With over 2,400 students and 1,000 government officials in attendance, the event concluded with vibrant performances and interactive learning experiences.
