Bhubaneswar, Oct 2: Reinforcing the unmatched consumer trust in its services and the technological superiority of its all-IP 4G and True 5G networks, Jio continues its stellar growth as the No. 1 and most preferred digital service provider in Odisha. As per the latest telecom subscription data released by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), Reliance Jio added over 1.96 lakh new mobile subscribers in Odisha in September 2025, followed by VI which added just 7,980 subscribers, while both Airtel and BSNL lost thousands of subscribers during the same period.

Jio alone added more than the total new mobile subscriber addition in the state and 24 times more than its nearest competitor, a testament to the strong consumer confidence in Jio’s superior network experience and digital ecosystem. With this, the total number of mobile subscribers on the Jio network in Odisha crossed 1.67 crores, achieving a 46.8% subscriber market share. This milestone has been powered by Jio’s extensive 4G and 5G coverage across the state and the ultra-affordable JioBharat 4G phone, which has enabled thousands of 2G customers to upgrade to 4G, particularly in rural and remote regions of Odisha.

As per the TRAI data, the total number of mobile subscribers in Odisha increased by around 1.88 lakh in September and crossed 3.58 crores as of September 30, 2025. Nationally, Jio also led the charts, adding over 32.49 lakh new mobile subscribers in September 2025 — further strengthening its position as India’s largest and fastest-growing digital service provider.

Jio also added the highest number of subscribers in the wireline and fixed wireless access (FWA) segments, extending its dominance in the home broadband market. Fuelled by the immense popularity of JioFiber and JioAirFiber, Jio now connects over 6 lakh home broadband subscribers in Odisha, including 3.38 lakh JioFiber users, 2.43 lakh 5G FWA users, and over 31,000 UBR FWA subscribers as of September 2025.
