Bolangir, Nov 28: In a shocking incident, the body of a young man was recovered from a well in Buromal village under the Kantabanji police station area in Bolangir district. The deceased has been identified as Surendra Bhati.

Surendra, who was last seen grazing cattle in the village, went missing on Thursday. His family launched a search after he failed to return home and eventually filed a missing person report at the Kantabanji police station.

Being informed, police began their investigation, and during the search, Surendra’s body was discovered floating in a well located in a paddy farm. The fire brigade team was called to the scene and retrieved the body.

What raised suspicion was the discovery of Surendra’s hands being tied with a rope, and a stone attached to his body. This unusual discovery has led to concerns that the young man may have been murdered. Authorities have launched a detailed investigation to determine the cause of death and to identify the perpetrators.
