Khordha, Sept 12: A common service centre in Mukundaprasad area of Odisha’s Khordha was sealed by the district administration on Thursday. This action was taken in response to numerous complaints alleging that the center was demanding money for the digitization of Subhadra Yojana forms.
Earlier on Wednesday, two Common service Centres of Bhubaneswar were found demanding money from Subhadra beneficiaries.
After receiving such complaints from the beneficiaries, authorities of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) in north and south east zone on Wednesday lodged complaints in this connection.
Based on it, the concerned officials of the CSCs were detained and the centres near the Toshali Bhawan and in the Niladrivihar area were shut down for demanding money for registration for the Subhadra Yojna.
While the flagship programme “Subhadra” is gaining confidence of beneficiaries across Odisha; Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation has made its strict implementation in 67 wards coming under its three administrative zones. For this, public awareness is being created in the BMC area. Based on state guidelines, IEC van is also disseminating messages on the scheme. We have made a ward wise supervision strategy to support beneficiaries. There is no room for making money to process the application under the scheme and irregularities will not be excused; told Commissioner, Rajesh Prabhakar Patil.
Citizens are requested not to pay anyone for applying / receiving Subhadra Yojana form. The form will be provided until the last beneficiary is found, read a press release of the BMC.
