​​​​​​​Anugul, Oct 23: In a tragic case of domestic violence reported from Turanga village on the outskirts of Angul town in Odisha, a man allegedly killed his wife following a heated argument.

The deceased has been identified as Meenakshi Bhanja, wife of Siddhanta Bhanja.

According to sources, the couple, who had a love marriage, had been experiencing frequent domestic disputes since their wedding.

On Wednesday, a quarrel ensued between the couple and soon took a violent turn. In a fit of rage, Siddhanta attacked Meenakshi, inflicting multiple injuries that led to her death on the spot.

Upon receiving information, Angul police arrived at the scene and seized the body before sending it for post-mortem.

The accused, Siddhanta Bhanja, is currently absconding. Police have initiated a manhunt to trace and apprehend him.
