Boudh, July 5: In a shocking incident, a Class X student from Gabajora High School in Odisha's Boudh district was hospitalized in an unconscious condition following a forced injection administered by unknown miscreants.
The accused has been identified as Sambit Bag, son of Kashi Bag from Tulasikata village. The incident occurred as Sambit, a Class X student of Gabajora High School, was traveling to school. Suddenly, five assailants intercepted him on the way and forcefully administered an injection, causing Sambit to lose consciousness. Fortunately, some local residents witnessed the incident and promptly alerted Sambit's family members. Upon noticing the locals, the assailants fled from the scene.
Sambit was rushed to Sonepur Hospital and till the last report came in, he was being treated.
Though the exact reason behind the incident is still unclear, it is suspected the miscreants might have wanted to abduct the student for which they administered him injection.
Based on the complaint lodged by the family members of Sambit, Manamunda police started an investigation into the incident.
