
Bhubaneswar, September 8: Dr. Satyajit Naik, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of the Central Range, has conducted a thorough review of the security arrangements along the Puri and Konark Marine Drive. Accompanied by Puri SP Prateek Geeta Singh and other senior police officials, Dr. Naik focused on assessing the safety measures in place to ensure the protection of both tourists and residents.
The review included a detailed examination of lifeguard facilities, with Dr. Naik stressing the importance of enforcing strict traffic regulations. He proposed using interceptors to monitor speeding vehicles and recommended equipping traffic enforcement teams with breathalyzer devices to curb violations. Furthermore, the installation of CCTV cameras along the Konark Marine Road was highlighted as a vital step to boost surveillance and improve emergency response capabilities.
