Bhubaneswar, Nov, 19: As the election comes closer, It appears that BJP is giving a tough fight to the ruling BJD in the Jayadev assembly constituency. As the BJD is organizing a three-day long training camp for the workers in the city, the BJP has also initiated a gherao program at Balianta and Balipatna blocks. BJP is trying hard to check the ruling BJD this time.
BJD observer in Khurdha district Shrimayee Mishra and other women leaders Sophia Alam, Ipsita Sahu, and Madhusmita Nayak have participated in the training program. Training is being imparted to connect people with BJD by giving importance to every household that has benefited from the Biju Sasthya Kalyan Yojana and all other government schemes helping people from birth to death.
On the other hand, the BJP also held a gherao program in both the Balianta and Balipatna block on various local issues. It is rumored that former MLA Raghav Sethi will soon join the BJP. As a result of which the BJP will become more powerful than before.
In 2019, Arbind Dhali had won from BJD and BJP remained in the second place. The situation has changed now. BJP has started to fight strongly with BJD.
BJP's vote bank is steadily increasing in every election in this assembly segmnent. After becoming MP, Aparajita Sarangi is working hard to increase BJP's vote bank in Jaydev constituency.
