Bhubaneswar, August 26: The State Government’s Law Department has officially announced the formation of the new Shree Jagannath Temple Management Committee, comprising ten distinguished members. The notification outlines the names of individuals who will play a key role in overseeing the administration and affairs of the revered Puri temple.
As per the notification, the following members have been appointed to the committee:Dr. Siddheswar Mahapatra (Representative, Mukti Mandap), Servitor Krushna Chandra Samantaray,Madhusudan Singhari, Jagannath Pujapanda, Ganesh Dasmahapatra,Ramanarayan Gochhayat, Raghubar Das Maharaj (Representative, Math), Former Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) Girish Chandra Murmu. A.K. Sabat,Mahesh Kumar Sahu.
The reconstituted committee is expected to support the temple’s day-to-day management and uphold centuries-old rituals and traditions associated with Lord Jagannath. The government’s announcement reflects its ongoing efforts to ensure smooth and transparent administration of the temple, which holds immense religious and cultural significance in Odisha and across India.
