Bhubaneswar, May 30: World famous Rath Yatra in Puri is scheduled on June 27.
In a bid to enhance connectivity to Puri during the festivity, around 1,000 buses apart from the line buses, will ply in the Puri Route from various parts of the state.
This was decided at a high-level meeting chaired by Transport Commissioner Amitabh Thakur, with the Odisha Bus Owners’ Association, Cuttack DCP, Puri SP, NHAI officials, and officials from the State Transport Department.
The Malatipatpur and Talabania grounds will serve as the bus stands, from where 100 e-buses will operate to Bada Danda to ferry devotees.
Transport Commissioner Thakur stated that bus owners have agreed to follow fair pricing of tickets.
