Puri, Sept 26: The Sri Jagannath Temple Managing Committee will meet today at the conference hall of the Jagannath Temple administration office in Puri. The meeting will be chaired by the committee’s permanent president, Gajapati Maharaja Dibyasingha Deb.
According to the agenda, seven key issues are scheduled to be discussed during the meeting. These include the Sri Jagannath Temple Land Management Act, 2026, and the progress of the inventory and counting of valuables in the Ratna Bhandar, the temple’s treasury.
The committee is also expected to place the final audit report for 2025–26 before the meeting for consideration and approval.
The proceedings of the Sri Jagannath Tattwa Research, Publication and Dissemination Sub-Committee meetings held on March 18 and July 6 will also be presented for approval.
Besides, the minutes of the Managing Committee meeting held on June 5 will be read out, confirmed and followed up on. The committee will also review the arrangements and conduct of this year’s Snana Yatra and Ratha Yatra.
The minutes of the Institution Sub-Committee meeting held on September 19 are also scheduled to be approved.
Any other matters may be taken up for discussion with the approval of the committee president.
