Mumbai, Aug 1: The upcoming spy action series 'Citadel Honey Bunny' is scheduled to premiere on OTT platform on November 7 this year. The release date was announced following a noise level of 100 decibels at Mehboob Studios in Mumbai's Bandra West area last Thursday. Bollywood star Varun Dhawan, along with his co-star Samantha Ruth Prabhu, attended the event.
Varun Dhawan revealed to the media that he received strict instructions from the show's creators to focus solely on 'Citadel Honey Bunny' and refrain from taking up any other projects, whether films or brand endorsements. The Indian adaptation of the global series 'Citadel', which originally starred Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Richard Madden, features Kay Kay Menon alongside Varun and Samantha.
Varun expressed his initial surprise at the show's production, expecting elaborate sets typical of Prime Video productions. However, he later embraced the approach of shooting in real locations like Thane and Bhandup in Mumbai to enhance the authenticity of the narrative. This marks the second time in his career, after 'Badlapur', that Varun has been involved in a darker storyline.
'Citiadel Honey Bunny' promises to be a significant addition to Prime Video's lineup when it premieres on November 7.
