Bhubaneswar: Young tennis sensation Sk Shazfa Wania bagged double titles in the 12th All Odisha Utkal Open Tennis Tournament 2026, she won both girls U-14 singles and women’s singles titles by defeating Sanrachana Das and Prisha Das by 6-0, 6-0 and 6-2, 6-2 respectively at Kalinga Stadium here on Sunday, the three day long tournament was organised by ACE Tennis Club.

 

The U-14 boys singles title was claimed by Surya Pratap Naik and Aditya Satapathy emerged men’s singles champion. While experienced Ansu Bhuyan and Chinmay Pradhan bagged the men’s doubles title.

 

On the closing ceremony, Shyam Sundar Hansdah and Rajani Kanta Nayak received Lifetime achievement awardees and Best sports man spirit award received by Surya Pratap Nayak, while most Well-Dressed player and Upcoming Player award received by Ahan Mishra and Shazfa Wania respectively.

 

The champion and runners up of each category received Rs 12,000 and Rs 8,000 respectively. The semi-finalists and quarterfinalists also get cash awards of Rs 5,000 and Rs 1,000 respectively. The tournament featured a total cash award of Rs 3.50 lakhs.

 

Former chief secretary Suresh Chandra Mohapatra gave away the prizes in presence of former DGP Sanjeev Marik, ACE President Prakash Chandra Bhura, secretary navratan Bothra and Organising committee chairman Biswajit Mishra,

 

Final Results:

Girls U-14 singles; Sk Shazfa Wania bt Sanrachana Das 6-0, 6-0.

Boys U-14 singles: Surya Pratap Naik bt Suyash Pattnaik 6-3, 6-2.

Women’s Singles: Sk Shazfa Wania bt Prisha Das 6-2, 6-2.

Men's singles: Aditya Satapathy bt Aahan Mishra 6-3, 6-2.

Men's Doubles: Ansu Bhuyan and Chinmay Pradhan bt Rahul Behera and Aditya Mohapatra 6-3, 6-1.

Senior Men’s 40+ Doubles: Manoj Das and Pradyumna Mall bt Prasant Patro and Arjun Sahoo 9-6.

Veteran 50+ doubles: Vivek Tibarewal and Saswat Jena bt Jeeten Mohanty and Ajay Sahu 9-4.

Veteran 60+ doubles: S S Rath and Sanjay Sahoo bt Gangadhar Lenka and Sanjay Satapathy 9-2.
