Koraput, December 21: Inspector-in-charge (IIC) Dasamantapur Police Station in Odisha’s Koraput district, Sukma Hansda, was suspended on Sunday after a few hours to her arrest by the Odisha Vigilance.

Hansda was put under suspension by the SP, Koraput today as the tainted IIC was sent for judicial custody earlier in connection with a vigilance trap.

The Jeypore Vigilance team had arrested the lady IIC on December 18 while she was allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000 for settling a dispute.

Following the trap, a case was registered against the accused under relevant sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act and he was arrested.
