Bhadrak, Aug 20: At least 20 passengers sustained injuries when a speeding bus veered off the road near the Ranital railway gate in Bhadrak district on Tuesday.
The accident occurred as the driver of the bus lost control while attempting to avoid a cyclist.
The bus was travelling from Kheira to Bhadrak when the incident took place. All injured passengers were promptly admitted to the Bhadrak hospital.
Fire Services and police personnel arrived at the scene shortly after being notified and assisted in the rescue efforts.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident.
