Bhubaneswar, Nov 11: The 25th edition of the Capital Book Fair will be held from November 14 to 23 at Rupali Square, Saheed Nagar, near the Durga Puja pandal here. The 10-day fair will feature over 300 stalls, with preparations already in full swing. Numerous publishers, including NCERT are taking part in the event, offering a wide range of books for all age groups and interests.

There will also be dedicated stalls for students, with books from renowned educational institutions on display.

In addition to the book stalls, various cultural activities and events will take place throughout the fair. These include discussions, poetry readings, book launches, author and poet meet-ups, satirical poetry gatherings, and children's literary sessions.

In recognition of outstanding literary achievements, the Capital City Book Fair Awards will be presented to the best books published in the last three years across 12 categories of Odia literature. The awards aim to celebrate and promote the rich cultural and literary traditions of Odisha.

The event is organized under the chairmanship of Dr. Upendra Kumar Jena, and preparations are being coordinated by a team that includes editor Bibhubhushan Patnaik, coordinator Rameshchandra Swain, and committee members Birakishore Pradhan, Kamalini Mallik, Dr. Pitabasa Rautaray (chairperson of Ekamra Book Festival Committee), and editor Bhaskar Jena.

This year’s fair promises to be an exciting cultural experience, bringing together literature lovers, authors, and publishers from across the region.
