Bhubaneswar, Nov 14: Counting of votes for the Nuapada 71 Byelection conducted on November 11, is underway.

As the early trail in poll counts indicates, BJP nominee Jay Dholakia is marching ahead with giant leaps towards victory.

Dreaming Jay as the ‘Leading Light’ for the coveted Nuapada Assembly Constituency, the Odisha BJP is readying a grand celebration at Nuapada on Friday.

According to sources, the state leaderships along with the Cabinet of Ministers, have been asked to leave for Nuapada, ahead of the celebration.

While, opposition parties & independent ones are eagerly waiting for the people’s mandate, euphoria in the BJP camp is apparent after the party’s face Jay Dholakia stood first on the contest by the end of 7th round counting.

According to sources, BJP Candidate Dholakia is leading over 28,000 votes by the end of 7th Round counting. On the other hand, BJD candidate Snehangini Chhuria secured the second position and Congress candidate Ghasiram Majhi stood third on the dice.

According to the breakup sourced so far, Dholkia in the 7th round counting bagged 36,088 votes, Chhuria 10,742 vote and Majhi got 9474 votes.

Based on the trend, BJP leaders in Nuapada and State headquarters at Bhubaneswar as well, are set to celebrate Dholkia’s stupendous achievement.

Worth mentioning, as many as 19 rounds of counting, are yet to be completed that will determine the fate of 14 aspirants, who have queued up for the Nuapada battle.
