Bhubaneswar, February 9: Odisha Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan reviewed the preparations for the ‘Maha Shivaratri’ (Jagara) at Lingaraj Temple in Bhubaneswar which will be held on 15 February

He emphasized the need for coordinated efforts between sevayats, government officials, police, fire services, municipal authorities, and the media to ensure a smooth event. The Minister stressed the importance of maintaining traditional rituals while ensuring safety, discipline, and orderly conduct from the darshan to the Mahadeep procession.

Minister Harichandan also directed strict action against fake pass holders and disruptions. He acknowledged the festival's significance, attracting devotees from across India and abroad.

The meeting included detailed planning for temple cleanliness, lighting, barricading, parking, water facilities, fire safety, crowd management, and media communication.

Babu Singh, Bhubaneswar Ekram MLA, Bhubaneswar Mayor Sulochana Das, and other officials were present in the meeting.
